Raypak Heater Troubleshooter
Choose a Raypak Digital, X94/SR-410, commercial PIM, AVIA, XTherm, or E3T control family and map the exact display or LED pattern to manual-backed checks.
Choose the exact control family first, then select the display message for a manual-backed definition and role-specific checks.
Which Raypak control family are you working on?
Confirm the rating-plate model. Similar-looking products can use different fault vocabularies.
How to use this Raypak heater troubleshooter
Start with the model family rather than the code alone. Raypak reuses some display text across controls, but the definition and reset behavior can differ. The wizard preserves those family boundaries and shows safe owner checks separately from cabinet-level technician checks.

Raypak troubleshooting questions
Why do I need to choose the control family first?
Raypak Digital, PIM, AVIA, XTherm, E3T, and heat-pump controls do not share one universal code table. The rating-plate model determines which manual and diagnostic path applies.
What changes when I select Technician?
Technician mode adds the manual-backed cabinet, electrical, combustion, or refrigerant checks. Homeowner mode limits the flow to safe observations and accessible circulation checks.
Can I reset a lockout and keep running the equipment?
Only after the cause is corrected and the current manual allows the reset. Repeated gas, flame, over-temperature, pressure, or electrical lockouts should not be cleared repeatedly.
Where can I find the full manual-backed guide?
Each result links to its matching Raypak diagnostic guide. You can also browse the Raypak troubleshooting guide hub and equipment library.
