Pentair EasyTouch Self Test Error Codes
The EasyTouch Self Test feature is a diagnostic tool that checks control panel hardware. After running the test, an error code indicates whether problems were detected.
This test is primarily intended for service personnel to diagnose control panel issues.
Running the Self Test
- Press Menu button on EasyTouch control panel
- Navigate to Diagnostics
- Select Self Test
- Follow on-screen prompts to test LCD and buttons
- When complete, an error code is displayed
Note: Testing displays "CODE: 0" for successful test or a numbered code for errors.

When Self Test Won't Run
If the self test won't start:
- Verify control panel has power (display should show something)
- Check wiring between control panel and load center
- Try power cycling the system
Post-Test Actions
- Code 0: Panel is working correctly; look elsewhere for problems
- Other codes: Document the codes and contact Pentair support or replace panel
