This interactive wizard covers seven Jandy equipment models across five categories. Whether you are a pool homeowner trying to understand an error code or a technician looking for structured diagnostic steps, the wizard adapts the guidance to your role.
The tool covers gas heaters (JXi, LXi), salt chlorination systems (AquaPure, TruClear), the VS FloPro variable-speed pump, AquaLink RS automation, and the Polaris 380 pressure-side cleaner. Each symptom card links to a full detailed guide when you need to go deeper.
After the heater locks out from three failed ignition attempts, power cycle the heater by turning the breaker off for 30 seconds, then back on. The heater will attempt ignition again. If the lockout recurs, check your gas supply and contact a technician to inspect the igniter, flame sensor, and gas pressure.
CHECK FLOW (JXi) or NO FLOW (LXi) means the pressure switch is not detecting adequate water flow through the heater. Start by confirming the pump is running, the filter is clean, and all valves are fully open. If flow is adequate but the error persists, a technician should test the pressure switch and inspect the header bypass.
Turn off the pump, remove the cell from the housing, and visually inspect for white calcium scale on the plates. If scale is present, soak the cell in a 4:1 water-to-muriatic acid solution for 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly before reinstalling. Regular cleaning extends cell life and maintains chlorine output.
If the Polaris 380 is not moving, check the inline filter screen for debris and inspect the filter bag. If the cleaner stays in one area, verify that the back-up valve is cycling every 3 to 4 minutes and check that the hose length is correct for your pool size. A technician can adjust the thrust jet angle and check the wheel RPM (target 28 to 32 RPM).
Yes. Select the "Homeowner" role in Step 3 and the wizard will show only the checks that are safe and practical for a non-professional to perform. Technician-level steps — such as voltage measurements and component testing — are hidden unless you switch to Technician mode. Always follow the safety warnings shown on screen, and consult a licensed pool service professional for any repair you are not comfortable performing.
